Impact
To embrace the great tension of nature, and bloom anyway.
Beyond myself, I exist to serve the great mission of access for all. Where anyone can put in the work. Where anyone can explore their potential. Where anyone can belong in the spaces they want to be celebrated in.
Teaching
I've been mentoring early-career engineers since 2020. Countless resume reviews, code reviews, and career pep talks. Since 2022, I've led classrooms at Grand Valley State University, Harvard, the University of Washington, UC Berkeley, and Grand Rapids Community College. Whoever shows up willing to learn, I show up willing to teach. Potential needs witnesses.
Research
My research lives at the intersection of habit psychology and technology. Both raise the same questions: who gets access, who gets independence, who gets to participate. As a disabled person, I know what it's like to have basic needs priced as a luxury. Basic needs aren't a luxury. They're the floor.
Community
I serve in my church: worship team, bible study, small groups for high school girls. Community is every space you show up to regularly. How we show up is how culture takes shape. Belonging is built, not granted.
